Description

You are bidding on one pair of girth adapters that let you use a western cinch with your Australian saddle. Hand made with a dark brown / burgundy,  6/7 oz, or black, 8/9 oz latigo leather, heavy duty 1 1/4" roller buckles and 2 inch dees of either nickel or brass hardware, depending upon availability. Standard adapters, burgundy / brown color,  with your choice of hardware, will be shipped as pictured, with rivets, until 10/1/08.  All "english" type sets, and all black colors are still available SEWN with your choice of hardware. The "dark brown/burgundy" description seems to be confusing some people lately. This is industry STANDARD latigo leather. It is NOT a CHOICE of dark brown OR burgundy.....the color is a MIX between the two. This latest hide is more toward the dark brown color.  The choice is between the standard OR black leather. If you don't know how thick 6/7 oz or 8/9 oz leather is, I suggest you go to http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/LeatherGuide.asp and read the paragraph toward the bottom of the page.As pictured, on the left side, 6 " long from tip of dee to top of buckle; 7 1/2 " long ADJUSTABLE on the strap side.I also make these as a set of two like the one pictured on the left, for Aussie saddles with no O-ring on the overgirth, or for English saddles. Please specify when ordering if you want these instead.Possibly you might need to use a shorter cinch after adding the adapters. What one customer wrote recently: "I have fit three aussie saddles with western girth converters of different manufacture. This is the best. It is the shortest converter and does not require exceptionally short cinches. It also adjusts best to different spacings between overgirth and front girths on aussie saddles of different makes and seat size."Smoking home, not that it should matter outdoors & around horse smells. A previous complaint has prompted me to add this disclaimer.SHIPPING: Shipment within 48 hours of receipt of payment, except on weekends & Holidays. Rates: $5.25 for priority mail to anywhere in the 48 continental US states. (Heavy little buggers! - too heavy to go first class) AK, HI, and international bidders, please send address for a quote. Insurance available for an extra $1.75, recommended. I cannot replace items lost in US mail. Shipping charges reduced for multiple items. No fee for handling. PAYMENT: PayPal, money orders or personal checks. Personal checks are subject to a 7 day wait until they clear my bank. I OFTEN PACK TO SHIP IMMEDIATELY AFTER PAYMENT, SO YOU MUST SPECIFY ALL STYLE, COLOR AND HARDWARE CHOICES AT TIME OF PAYMENT, OR I WILL SEND BURGANDY LEATHER WITH WHICHEVER COLOR HARDWARE I HAVE THE MOST OF AT THE TIME. NOTE: Contact from and / or response to my notification from the winning bidder must be made within 24 hours of auction close, with COMPLETE information, including Name, Shipping Address, Item desired, and any special order instructions. PayPal payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close. If these conditions are not met, there will be NO SALE, and negative feedback will be left. NO excuses accepted. If you do not intend to follow the above terms, and send payment within 48 hours, PLEASE DO NOT BID !! (For those who can't picture how these work, here is a quick explanation.1) The long strap on the one side (of the right converter) goes through the O-ring on your overgirth, and then buckles down. The buckle on the other side (of the right converter) attaches to the billet of your saddle.2) The left side set of converters are buckled onto the two billets on the off side of your saddle.3) The dee rings of the converters become just like the dees on a western saddle, to which you fasten your off-billet, cinch, and latigo, starting from the off-side to the near. For English or Endurance saddles OR if your Aussie saddle does not have an O-ring on the overgirth, it's much the same, except there is no strap on the right set of girth adapters. You omit step one & repeat step two with each side of your saddle.I'm working on pictures for a web-page to show this more clearly, but for now, the above is the quick explanation of how to convert your aussie saddle to use a western cinch.)Thank you for looking !!
