This is a unique, high quality, plantation trail saddle that I purchased four years ago. It has been very lightly used and all parts are in excellent condition although the girth attachments show a little fading by the girth rings. It is made by a saddle maker (SaddleRanch) in Connecticut. The saddle is a very light weight 13 lbs., and has a suede seat that is not only "grippy" but extremely comfortable to ride in. The flaps are single layer leather, soft and flexible providing close contact with your horse and they are trimmed with a rope design tooling. There are nickle studs between the flap and the seat and a concho at the end by the cantle. The seat measures 16 1/2" and though it looks like a western seat, it is measured like an english saddle. The stirrups attach beneath the flap preventing the pinching that sometimes happens with leathers on a regular english saddle. The rigging is western and is done with wide nylon strapping...very strong and lies flat so you don't feel it under your leg. I use a regular western girth and straps. There are footman's loops on the back of the cantle and D-rings front and rear. This saddle has padded, flexible panels underneath making it very comfortable for the horse as it flexes when the horse moves. The saddle comes with the girth straps, leathers and stirrups. This saddle has always been cleaned with every use and kept inside the house. It is in excellent condition with only a few very minor scratches on the flaps. When new, the saddle sold for over $1200. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the saddle.
