This is a super comfy treeless saddle. It has a medium size removable/exchangeable fiberglass pommel, the new panel system with a thick, molded pressure-absorbing panel on either side of the horse's spine. It has a high cantle of thick foam and is very deep, soft and secure. Mounted with fenders and cushioned, wide tread, adjustable stirrups, you won't need half-chaps unless you want them. This saddle positions the rider close to the horse and has a very secure hold on the horse's back and has not turned when I mount. The seat measures 16" western measurement style and 18" english measurement style. Weight is 16.5 lbs including the fenders and stirrups. It is black nubuck leather and does not have the slippery, shiney looks of smooth leather. A Skito brand fleece lined nylon equalizer girth is included. On Aug-25-08 at 19:12:52 PDT, seller added the following information:This is the Tahoe size 2 saddle I purchased new July 2007. It has the leather covered EZ Ride Stirrups. I had the underskirt shortened because several layers ended in the same location preventing my leg from contacting the small barrel of the horse. It also allowed the billets to go through the straps on the pad I was using.
