This Champion saddle, made by Turf Equipment, Inc. is in excellent condition. I bought it about 20 years ago when western saddles were built to last. The first few years I had it, all I used it for was showing. Since then it has been used very little because the only riding I was doing was english. I got interest in cutting a couple years ago, & have only used this saddle lightly for trail riding. It has a 16" seat (but it measures 16-1/2" to the stitching. It has a built up semi-equitation seat that is very comfortable. It is built on a rawhide tree with quarter horse bars. The gullet measure 6" between the screws. As you can see by the condition of the sheepskin, I've taken very good care of this saddle. It does need a good cleaning & oiling. It comes complete with the rear cinch & leather covered stirrups. It has a brown leather roughout seat & is corner tooled with a California poppy pattern.. The conchos are Montana silver & polish up nicely. The model number of this saddle is 801, and the serial number is 4034.
