This is a Clinton Anderson Pressure Release Saddle Pad. This pad was purchased at one of his shows and only used once. This is a great pad in perfect shape because it has always been stored in doors. Background: During his early training years in Australia, Clinton Anderson, became frustrated with soreness problems he experienced with dry spots on horse's backs. Clinton was determined to remedy the situation. After some thought,he had an inspiration on how the saddle pad could help reduce saddle pressure, help correct poor saddle fit, and alleviate dry spots. He made the first prototype pad by hand in his mothers kitchen. Throughout his teaching and training career, he has continually ridden this pad on hundreds of horses. Knowing that relieving saddle pressure helps the horse, Clinton teamed up with Classic Equine to modify the pad concept into a product that is now made available to all horse owners. The PRS Pad Features: A unique patent pending design that helps prevent dry spots by reducing saddle pressure to the withers and shoulder. A quality, top grain leather top provides a great look and extreme durability, making the PRS Pad heirloom quality . Foam bottomed pad features a close cell foam bottom for anti-microbial protection and long lived shock resistance. Easy to care for... simply wipe off the high density foam bottom with a damp towel. A cut design out over the withers to provide adequate spine relief. A contoured fit follows the line of your horse's back with a split design that allows for the independent and free movement of the horse's hips and shoulders. The leather top can be cleaned with saddle soap or any quality leather conditioner and retain it's rich finished look for years to come.
