This auction is for six lightly used handmade slotted engraved german silver conchos. They are early work of Dale Bass when he used his brand as his maker's mark. The mark is bar WD. Dale is a bit and spur maker from Amarillo, Texas. His work is illustrated in "Bits & Spurs, Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers" by Ned and Jody Martin. Dale has been a maker for about 17 years and became a full time maker in 1998. The conchos are domed and cut in the shape of a heart. They are 1 1/2" in diameter and fit a 1/2" strap.
