This item offered is a 1986 "vintage" Mongoose 18 speed ATB mountain bike for the serious off-road cyclists as well as the reacreational biker. It has the stock Caribbean Green paint scheme and measures 23" from the middle of the crankset up to the top seat tube. The crank assembly is a Sakae SX aluminum setup along with the pedals. The "group" consists of Shimano Deore front and rear derailleurs and Shimano hubs both in front and in back. Fingertip shifters make it easy to maintain ur speed without slowing down to deal with shift issues that can occur at times. It goes thru a process called Triple Butted Chromoly for superior strength in the the tubing structure. It has 24 inch rims. The Mongoose has a very "solid" feel about no matter what speed u are going. I paid $499 for it new. It is in near new condition with less than 500 total miles ridden on it and would provide hours of pleasure for any cycling enthusiast. I prefer local pick-up but can work with buyer for delivery options and costs. I prefer PayPal, personal checks (once they clear) , US Postal money orders, and cashier's checks as payment options.
