Update: Free shipping+lower price.I bought this new-old-stock (NOS) Suntour set when I first decided to restore my 1986 Schwinn World road bike. I ultimately changed my mind and went with an upgrade to new generation parts. So here is a completely new Suntour set for your 1980s road bike restoration project. The following descriptions are from the NOS shop I originally bought these parts from: A Sprint 9000 rear derailleur (Model RD-SP10-SSB) that is six or seven speed compatible (with the shifters included herein). At the time, only the Suntour Superbe Pro rear derailleur was positioned as a superior rear derailleur to this one...so it's definitely high-end. It weighs just over 200 grams and is capable of handling a 12T (small) sprocket and a 23T (large) sprocket in full-index mode (26T in frinction mode). In terms of total capacities, this rear derailleur is capable of handling a 26T difference (defined as the combined difference of the front chainwheel and the rear sprockets) and our references also indicate the front chainwheel should have no more than a 13T difference. A Winner Pro Ultra 7-speed freewheel (english threading)...Model FW-WT10-S7U. This was Suntour's best freewheel offering at the time in the 7-speed variety...and the sizing on this particular freewheel is 12x13x14x15x17x20x23. A complete set of Sprint 9000 downtube shifters (Model SL-IP00-B - braze-on type) with full index capabilities for both a 6-speed and a 7-speed setup. They are also capable of working in friction-mode should this be your preference. The ability to switch between the various modes appears fairly simple, as there is a built-in mechanism on the right shifter that allows for this adjustment with little effort. A Suntour branded narrow chain...second from their best offering at the time...Model CH-AP10. This chain is ultra freewheel (7-speed) compatible and specifically designed for Accushift Plus components. All of the necessary hardware and cables/housings, as well as Suntour component booklets to help with installation, etc. A new-old-stock (NOS) Suntour "GPX" front derailleur from the very early 90's (model FD-GP00-SSH). The chain guide/cage is nicely chromed and the upper body is a combination of polished aluminum alloy and painted with a dark gray enamel. The resulting contrast in colors is very nice and makes for a nice finishing touch to a very good quality front derailleur. This model is best suited for a double chainring with no more than a 16T difference and has a 28.6 mm (or 1 1/8") clamp. The latter point is key, because it will fit many of the vintage steel tubed road bikes...and these decent quality clamp-on front derailleurs with a slightly wider cage (relative to today's models) are becoming more difficult to find...especially in nos condition. Our period specific Suntour catalogs indicate the GPX drivetrain in the very early 90's was marketed primarily as a six and seven-speed groupset with 126 mm rear spacing. This is significant in that it means this front derailleur cage is narrow chain compatible (as the seven speed drivetrain on a 126 mm rear hub typically required a narrower chain then the regular spaced six speed drivetrain on the same rear hub). The Suntour catalogs confirm this narrow chain compatibility. Please do keep in mind, however, when we speak of narrower chains from this era, this is relative to the wider chains historically used on regular spaced six speed drivetrains with 126 mm rear spacing and/or regular spaced five speed drivetrains with 120 mm rear spacing. Today's nine and ten speed compatible chains are even narrower then those that were typically used on these seven speed drivetrains and even the more recent eight speed drivetrains.
