This is a training martingale that comes in two pieces- the part you see on the left of the picture is a set of reins that buckle at the ends (where you hold the reins from the saddle) and has buckle attachments to the bit. On the right hand side of the picture, you see a martingale that has a loop that buckles around the neck of the horse and then has the strap attaching to the girth and the other end forks in two with two snaps designed to go through the bit and back to D-rings attached to the sides of the reins. There are several D-rings sewn into the sides of the reins so that you can adjust the length of the martingale. I think some people call this a German martingale (?) Anyway, the horse I have now does not need this. Someone may be able to use this in the right situation. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
